Demo Reel Progression

In a warm up to the six months ahead of working on projects to complete my demo reel, I decided to work on this concept.

Lazar: Recently just finished my sudies at Gnomon School of Visual Effects. I had been taking classes at Gnomon for three years, learning organic and hard surface modeling, texturing, lighting, sculpting, and rendering. I previously attended Academy of Art University in San Francisco, and also studied at University of Advancing Technology in Tempe, Arizona.

While attending UAT, a team of students and I developed Project Attero, a fast-paced multiplayer game with fantasy-type characters and FPS elements. I worked as the lead animator on Attero alongside modelers, texture artists, animators, riggers, and programmers, and our hard work paid off when we were awarded a team sponsorship by our university to enter Attero in GDC 2010.

Although UAT ultimately was not the educational setting I was looking for, I value the experiences I gained there from working in a close, team-based environment. I plan on completing my education at Gnomon and am looking forward to bringing everything I’ve learned to a career in the game industry.
